A tragic electrical accident changed the life of 5½-year-old Manthan, leaving him with severe burn injuries that resulted in the loss of both hands and one leg. For his family, the incident was devastating, and the future seemed uncertain.
At Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS), Indore, a dedicated team of doctors and healthcare professionals worked tirelessly to provide comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation, helping Manthan begin his journey toward recovery.
To further support his rehabilitation, Dr. Vinod Bhandari, Founder & Chairman, Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutions, personally arranged for advanced robotic prosthetic arms to be imported from abroad. These innovative robotic arms function through shoulder movements, enabling wrist and hand movements that allow Manthan to perform several daily activities independently.
Today, Manthan is embracing life with renewed confidence and hope. His inspiring journey is a testament to the power of advanced medical care, compassionate healthcare professionals, and cutting-edge rehabilitation technology.
More than a story of recovery, Manthan's journey reflects SAIMS' commitment to restoring lives through innovation, dedication, and patient-centered care.
