Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, and on the occasion of the birthday of Honble Kamal Ji Patel, a comprehensive Free Preventive Health Camp was organised through the joint efforts of the District Administration, Health Department, Harda, and Sri Aurobindo Hospital, Indore. The initiative aimed to bring specialised healthcare, preventive screening, and expert medical guidance closer to the people of Harda and surrounding areas.
The camp was conducted at the Government District Hospital, Harda, where patients received free consultations and diagnostic screenings by renowned specialists from Indore. Expert services were made available across multiple specialties, including Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Oral and Dental Cancer, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Gynaecology, and Ophthalmology.
The initiative offered a wide range of advanced and essential diagnostic facilities at no cost. These included mammography for breast cancer screening, cervical cancer screening, Pap smear, biopsy, colposcopy, ultrasonography, 2D Echo, FibroScan for liver assessment, oral and dental examinations, eye screening, blood pressure monitoring, ECG, Random Blood Sugar (RBS), and haemoglobin testing.
Patients were also provided information about free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, helping them understand available healthcare support and treatment pathways.
A key highlight of the initiative was the SAIMS Tele Command Centre, which connected Harda with specialist doctors at SAIMS, Indore. Through teleconsultation, patients could receive timely expert guidance without having to travel long distances, demonstrating how technology can help bridge geographical gaps in healthcare delivery.
The camp also featured Umeedon Wali Bus – Pink Promise on Wheels, a specialised mobile healthcare initiative focused on women’s cancer prevention and screening. Free screening and medical consultation for breast cancer, cervical cancer, oral cancer, and eye-related conditions were provided by expert doctors. Sri Aurobindo Dental Hospital on Wheels and Women’s Wellness Hospital on Wheels further expanded the reach of specialised healthcare services.
This initiative reflected Sri Aurobindo Hospital, Indore’s commitment to making preventive, specialised, and technology-enabled healthcare more accessible, reinforcing the belief that quality medical expertise should not be limited by distance.
